Thomas Coale, 85, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at his home in Pensacola. He was born on June 15, 1928 to Samuel and Ernestine Coale in Monroeville, AL. He grew up in Andalusia and Brewton, AL, and graduated from T. R. Miller High School. Tom served in the United States Army during World War II. He attended Auburn University and remained a loyal fan all his life. He worked at St. Regis Paper Company and retired from Champion and Stone Container in 1987. His retirement began some of the best years of his life, as he traveled the world with his wife, along with family and friends.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia; 3 daughters, Rebecca Coale, Ann Wilson (David) and Laura Rainey (Bob); a son, Thomas Edmond Coale, Jr.; 5 grandsons, Daniel Stone, Spencer and Stuart Wilson, Thomas and Steven Rainey, and two granddaughters, Morgan Hernandez and Laura-Ann Mountz; 4 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Samuel Coale, Jr. (Dot) and Mark Coale (Jane) and a sister, Barbara Brownell.
Memorial Service will be held 10:00am Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Dr. Paul Wolfe officiating.
