Lula J. Bradley

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, Heaven was rejoicing as another Saint was welcomed home. Lula Juanita Bradley left the loving arms of her earthly family and went into the loving arms of Jesus.

As her family and friends mourn the loss of Mom, Granny, and sister, so great was the reunion in Heaven of mom with her husband Andrew "Paw" Bradley, and a host of other family members and friends.

Mom, was a devoted wife, mother, granny, and great granny. Mom was born on Sept. 12, 1938 in Montgomery, Alabama. Mom married the love of her life Andrew "Red" Bradley on Oct. 1, 1954 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Mom and Paw resided most of their married life in Santa Rosa County, raising their family. She loved and enjoyed her family so much. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and set such an example of what unconditional Love is.

Mom leaves behind to cherish her memory five children, Lillie (Tony), Andrew (Beth), Pauline (Jerry) Marie (Buddy) and Norma Jean (Jack); twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four siblings; and a host of loved ones that called her mom and granny.

We loved you mom, with all we could give, but we knew you were tired and there was already a place in Heaven prepared for you as the Lord has promised. Heaven needed another saint and though our hearts are breaking now, we rest securely on the promise that we will see and join you in God's time.

Mom loved her family so very much and it was evident in everything she did. Never would a day go by that she didn't talk on the phone to her children. She had such a good gentle and loving spirit. Her home was filled with pictures of her family and she loved to tell others about them.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. LeThi and her staff, the wonderful nursing staff of West Florida Hospital, especially those in the CCU, ICU, CVICU, and in the 2nd. and 4th. floor of the hospital, for their care in treating mom with love, care, and dignity.

The visitation was held at the Milton Chapel of Lewis Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 with Pastor Ken Griffin and Pastor David Lewis, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Dean, Travis Craig, John Bradley, Brian Thomsen, Josh Penton and Christopher Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Barrow, Bill Jones, Larry Padgett, Lamar Allen, Jessie Moore, and James McCraney.
