Debra Anne Manuel, 45, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Pensacola on Wednesday, Feb. 5, of natural causes.
Debbie, as family and friends know her, read all the time, her closet, desk and shelves filled with books of all kinds - mystery, how-to, and romance.
Debbie loved travel. Among other places, she's visited Lake Tahoe, Martha's Vineyard, Maggie Valley, Napa Valley, Niagara Falls, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and New York City. Her passport bears stamps from the Philippines and Tokyo.
She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1986 and attended Pensacola Junior College. Well-liked and detail-oriented, she worked for Gulf Coast Enterprises at the Corry Station galley.
Debbie is predeceased by her father, Ted.
Debbie is survived by her mother, Elsie; her siblings Marlon (Stephanie) and Christine (Rick); and her nieces and nephew - Bethany, Brittney, Rebekah, Sydney and Allen.
A visitation for family and friends takes place Friday, Feb. 14, from 4-6 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home (100 Beverly Parkway), which is handling arrangements.
A funeral mass takes place Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pensacola. She will be committed to Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in a private ceremony.
