Deborah "Debbie" Christine Schroeder

May 24, 1964

February 17, 2014

Our beautiful Debbie who fought so hard for so long, is no longer sick. She is with God in Heaven.

Debbie loved kayaking and the beach, but what she loved most was being a wife and mother. She was so proud of her sons. They were the light of her eyes. She was always there for her sons, no matter how small or large the situation. She taught them the value of life, to work hard, to love each other, and how important the family was and the most important, the love of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Hill and her stepfather, Frank Steadman.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 31 years, Paul Schroeder; sons, Brian Schroeder and Andy Schroeder; mother, Linda Steadman; mother-in-law, Jayne Schroeder; sisters, Donna (Chris) Fowler and Suzy Clemons; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Cheryl Schroeder; and nieces and nephews, Sheree, Lindsay, Leah, Mattie, Christopher, and Bailey.

Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the funeral service begins at 1:30 p.m. all on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Pensacola, 333 Commerce Street, Pensacola.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Special thanks to the "angels" at Covenant Hospice, the doctors at Sacred Heart Oncology Group, and the Sacred Heart 2nd floor St. Catherine's Oncology wing.

Debbie was a great wife, mother, daughter, sister, and mentor. She had a way of capturing the heart of those she met and will be missed.
