1938 - 2014

William "Bill" Ridenour, 76, of Pensacola, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Born in Valley Station, KY, he resided locally for 35 years. Bill was employed by Gannett Offset and ARC of Santa Rosa; a U. S. Navy veteran, he served in both Korea and Vietnam. Working in his shop making bird houses and tinkering on small engine repairs were Bill's most favored hobbies. He was a member of Pine Forest Assembly of God.

Preceded in death are his parents, Alvin and Martha Ridenour; brothers, Alvin Charles and James Forrest; granddaughter, Shanna and great-granddaughter, Faith.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Margaret; children, Diane Thomas, Robert (Mary) Wilburn, Flossie (David) Smith, Roxie Maull, Pamela (Ted) Daye, Martha (Robert) Osteen and Robin (Ed) Schmidt; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; siblings. Marvin (Anna) Ridenour, Frank (JoAnn) Ridenour, Sue Ann Sasenger and Mary Helen and a special friend and neighbor, John Matthews.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home until services begin at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Gene Hudson officiating.

Entombment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Special thanks are extended to Covenant Hospice and to Dr. Fitzgerald and his staff for the care given to Bill.
