After her retirement, she served as the volunteer coordinator at West Pensacola and then Blue Angel Elementary. She was an active member of her beloved sorority, Alpha Delta Kappa (ADK), where she served in many leadership positions.

Annie Jean was a faithful member of Warrington Baptist Church for over 55 years where she served in many areas including children's ministry, women's missionary ministry and the church library.
