Jeanne Adaire Chase, 87, passed away peacefully in Pensacola surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother and cherished great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Champe Capps and her father Raymond Capps; her brother William Capps; her sisters Evelyn Thacker, Marion Capps, and Rosalyn Booker.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leonard 'Chuck' Chase; her two daughters Carole Draughan and husband Randy of Pensacola; Sue Casper of Coden, Alabama; Grandson Mike Casper (Sheilah); Granddaughters, Jennifer Morris (Kevin), Michelle Cartwright (Scott), Jodie Dyer (J.R.) and Mandy Russell (Steven). Great-grandchildren, Matthew Casper, Michael Casper, Savannah Casper, Trent Dyer, Zachary Morris, Sierra Casper, Cameron Casper, Lindsey Morris, Jacob Morris, Taylor Dyer and Olivia Russell. She also is survived by one sister, Janice Ziegel.
Jeanne loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed singing Karaoke, and was always thinking of others. She had a big love for her pets, and would put them first before herself. She really loved to tell a good joke and had a way of making her family smile. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation for Jeanne was held Wednesday, May 28th at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment from 6pm-8pm. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 29th at Faith Chapel North at noon, with burial services following at Barrancas National Cemetery on Pensacola Naval Air Station.
We will always love you forever Jeannie Girl, Mom, Grandma and Gigi. You will forever be that apple of our eyes. We will miss you so much!
