Jaymar Antoine Knight

Jaymar Antoine Knight passed away peacefully with his mother and father at his side on May 28, 2014.

He was the only child born to David A. Knight and Linda (Dennis) Knight on February 24, 1977 in Pensacola, Florida.

Jaymar accepted Christ at an early age and was united with First Baptist Church of Warrington, under the leadership of Pastor James H. Miller, Sr. In previous years he was active in the work of the church, by serving with the media and landscaping ministries.

He was educated in the school district of Escambia County, Florida. He was a graduate of Escambia High School, class of 1995. He was employed with Armstrong World Industries for several years.

Jaymar was an avid bowler. He started bowling at the age of six years old. He immensely enjoyed the sport of bowling and the leagues that he bowled with.

Jaymar had a very endearing personality. He touched many lives with his smile, wit, and respectful ways. Antoine remained independent, strong, and courageous until God called him home.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted parents, David A. and Linda (Dennis) Knight; loving grandmothers, Emma R. Dennis and Josephine Knight; loving maternal aunts, Brenda Williams, Cathy Dennis, and Tammy Dennis, all of Pensacola, Florida; paternal aunts, special adoring aunt Angela (Alvin) Hardwick, Lashay (Anthony) Body, and Barbara (Cleveland) McBride, all of Pensacola, Florida; uncles, Willie D. (Rose) Knight of Los Angeles, California, Charles D. (Rose) Knight of Pensacola, Florida; loving and dedicated Godmother Deborah R. Carter, loving Godbrother Quincy Harrison; a special and devoted friend Traci White; Ariel (Adrian) Hunn, a loving cousin, who affectionately called him her brother; all of Pensacola, Florida; and a host of other special family and friends.

We would like to thank Dr. R. Dissanayake and his staff of the Sacred Heart Medical Oncology Group for their kindness and tireless efforts; West Florida Hospital, especially the staff of Six South, for the excellent and professional care that was provided, and their love and kindness shown to Jaymar and his family; Pastor James H. Miller, Sr. and our church family for all of their prayers and support; and friends and coworkers of Armstrong World Industries for their many acts of kindness and support.

Viewing will be held Friday, June 6, 2014, from 12:00-9:00pm, at Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home, 701 North Devilliers Street, Pensacola, Florida. Services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 11:00am, at First Baptist Church of Warrington, with Pastor James H. Miller, Sr., officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
