Faye Hope Eddins Glover, 80, of Pensacola, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014. Hope was born August 3, 1933 in Frisco City, AL. She was a graduate of Frisco City High School, Class of 1951. In 1955 Hope earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama in Livingston, and in 1985 she graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of West Florida in Pensacola.

Hope was a retired teacher. She taught in the Escambia County School District for 40 years, and received Teacher of the Year Award in 1996. The majority of her teaching career was accomplished at either Ferry Pass Elementary School or Ferry Pass Middle School. Hope was also a bookkeeper for her husband's family pharmacy for over 10 years; Scenic-Olive Drugs, Inc. Hope was an active member of the Ferry Pass United Methodist Church on Davis Hwy from 1961 to 1993 and has been a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church on Nine Mile Road since 1993.

Hope was proud to be active in a number of organizations that highlighted her passion for genealogy, history, and intellectual pursuits, including Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy (Real Granddaughter), Colonial Dames of the XVII Century, Dames of the Court of Honor, Magna Charta Society, the Meriwether Society, the Nomads, and Scenic Hills Garden Club (Charter Member).

Hope was preceded in death by: her husband, Wilton Ford Glover; father, John William Eddins, Sr.; mother, Laurie Myrtle Kennard Eddins; brother, John Williams, Jr.; and sister, Carolyn Eddins Van Hoose. Survivors include: her daughters, Amanda Glover of Pensacola, FL and Elise (Brian Benson) Glover of Anchorage, AK; son, Norman (Jean) Glover of Mobile, AL; and three grandchildren, Jonathan (Seonhee) Glover of Orlando, FL, Olivia Glover and Sarah Glover of Mobile, AL. Hope is also survived by her sisters, Laurie Thrash, Barbara Wenner, and Betty Lambert of Pensacola, FL, Jeanie Ruth (Gene) Morris of Helena, AL, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Trahan Family Funeral Home, 419 Yoakum Court, is in charge of arrangements.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and will last until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Trahan Family Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Anderson of St. Luke United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place at 3:00 PM on Friday June, 13, 2014 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Frisco City, AL.
