Martha Jane "Our Marti" DeVries, 48, passed away on June 29, 2014 in Bay Minette, AL.

She was a non-judgmental person who was also very thoughtful and loving to her family. She was resilient; she relied on her faith and was able to survive regardless of the circumstances. Marti was a member of the Muscogee Creek Indian Tribe.

Marti will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Diane Taylor; grandparents, Mama and Daddy Josey; and a nephew, Cody Godwin.

Marti is survived by her mother, Glenda D. Reid; step-father, Douglas "Daddy Doug" Croll; four sons, Richard Carr, Anthony Booth, Billy and Robert DeVries; cousin, Lisa Davis; three brothers, Perry and Steven Durden and Danny Carr; two sisters, Kimberly Donnelly and Denise Carr; fiancé, Carlton Woodward; friend, Barbara Ouellette; her former husband and friend, Frankie DeVries; five grandchildren, Nyla, Ryla, Damion, Savannah, and Aubriannah DeVries; numerous spoiled nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Bonifay, FL.

Family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
