1964-2014

Anna Mae Mastrili Maano of Pensacola, FL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Born in Manila, Philippines on October 29, 1964, she completed her elementary and secondary education at the Assumption School and Bishop Kenny in Jacksonville, FL. She obtained her Associate in Arts degree in Nursing at Pensacola Junior College, Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of West Florida and was currently pursuing her Master's degree in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix. She is affiliated with the Florida Nurses Association and donated charitably to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and various church organizations. She had been profiled in the Montclair "Who's Who in Collegiate Faculty".

She specialized in Critical Care Nursing at the Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, CA in the ICU and Transplant Units. She transferred after several years to Pensacola to be with family. She had been employed as an ICU nurse at Baptist Hospital, West Florida Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. She had been a valued member of the Nursing Faculty at Pensacola State College, and at the time of her demise, was employed as Clinical Educator for ICU nurses at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Anna Mae travelled extensively with her mother in Italy, Spain, France, and England. She is survived by her parents Martin and Rio Rita Maano; brother, Michael Anthony; nephew, John Paul II; several aunts and uncles; longtime beloved friends, Alex and Rachel Guthrie, and fiancée, Wallace Carter Jr. She was preceded in death by her youngest brother, John Paul.

Pallbearers are: Michael Anthony Maano, John Paul Maano II, Dr. Raul Ramos, Dr. Jose Montes, Alex Guthrie, and Wallace Carter Jr.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, 2014, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. starting with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, W. Garden Street, with Reverend Father Hector R. G. Perez, S.T.D. as the Main Celebrant, Reverend Father James Thoyhill and Reverend Father Nicholas Schumm as concelebrants. Followed by Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery and reception at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Holy Name Society and St. Anne Catholic Church Bellview.
