Charles William Taylor III, 70 of Milton, FL passed away on July 2, 2014. He was born in Tuscaloosa, AL to parents, C. W. Taylor Jr and Mary Sue Nelson but was raised in Eight Mile, AL.
Charles graduated Vigor High School, class of "61", and Delgado College, New Orleans, LA.
Charles served in the U.S. Navy until 1964. He then worked for Shell Oil Co. in New Orleans until retirement and moved to Milton, FL. He was one of the founding members of the Goodbee Volunteer Fire Dept since 1980 and was a member of the 1st Baptist Garcon Point. He also enjoyed teaching the youth at 1st Baptist Church, Covington, LA for many years.
Charles enjoyed playing golf with his friends, music, reading and a lifetime of pets.
He was preceded in death by: his father, mother, and sister, Emily Taylor.
Survivors include: wife, Dianne Brahier Taylor; son, Charles Taylor IV (Suzi); and grandtwins, Zach and Rachel; sisters, Patsy Head (Mason), Lib Blossom (Allen), and Kay Holifield (George)
Graveside memorial service will be held at 10:15 AM, Friday, August 1, 2014 at Barrancas National Cemetery aboard NAS Pensacola for family and close friends.

On Saturday, August 2, 2014 we will have a Celebration of Charles' life at 1:00 p.m. at Grover T's restaurant in Milton.
