Kenneth D. Moffett

Kenneth Duane Moffett, 79, of Milton, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014.

Ken was a native of Connersville, Indiana. He was a graduate of Columbia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. Ken proudly served in the US Navy, and retired after 28 years. He went on to serve in the employ of several military contractors, most recently with Raytheon,Inc, at NAS Whiting Field.

He was preceded in death by his father Mildren Moffett and Mother LaVaughn Moffett.

Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emily Chastine Moffett of Milton; three daughters, Mirella (Greg) Wilson of McCloud, Ca, Natalie (William) Hamilton of Milton, and Teresa Moffett of Milton; three grandchildren, Kenneth Hamilton of Milton,Mimi Fernandez of Tuano, Va, and Bobby Morris Jr of Roanoke, Va; and five great-grandchildren,Trinity and Zoey Hamilton, Tristan, Brayden and Sydney Fernandez, and sister Doris Becker of Orlando, FL.

Funeral Services for Ken Moffett will be held at 6PM, Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with Rev. Mike Poston officiating. Visitation from 6PM-7PM.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Emerald Cost Hospice for their loving and respectful care.

Ken was an avid animal lover so, in Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lawson Rescue at (search Kenneth Moffett).
