1928 - 2014

Maxine Ropp, 85, of Pensacola, died Thursday, August 14, 2014. Maxine was born October 17, 1928 in Mattoon, Illinois to Earl and Agnes Smith Yunt. She moved to Pensacola in 1994 with her husband, Leland. Maxine was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and was a 38 years member of the AL-ANON family group. She was extremely talented in pottery and crafting.

Maxine is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leland Ropp; daughters, Theresa Johnson and Suzanne Willey; grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Christine Smith and Ciara Willey; great grandchildren, Amara and Ashland Johnson, and Trevor, Arian and Karman Smith; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Frances Ropp.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5014 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Fl. 32504.

BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway is entrusted with arrangements.
