1946-2014

Leonard Wayne Rogers, 67, of Milton passed away on August 23, 2014. Leonard had a strong Christian faith and a love of country and his fellow man.

As a young man, Leonard served in the United States Navy. He also worked at the Escambia County Sheriff's Department and had a long and successful career in the insurance industry.

Leonard was preceded in death by his mother and father Vivien and Joe Rogers and two brothers, Raymond and Dillon Vickery.

Survivors include: his daughter, Julie Stranzl; grandsons, Collin and Calib; and a sister, Melissa Ripa.

Trahan Family Funeral Home, 419 Yoakum Court, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until funeral service begins at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery aboard NAS Pensacola.
