Glenda Stanley Obituary
Glenda Stanley

Glenda Stanley of Pace, FL, age 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 15, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family. Glenda was born on March 30, 1934 in Chattanooga, TN and graduated from Lakeview High School. She married Floyd Stanley of Baker, Florida on January 25, 1958.

Our Memaw had a zest for life! She loved people and had a way of making them smile. With her contagious laugh she could brighten any room, collecting "family" everywhere she went. Memaw put her family, and especially her grandchildren, first.

Mrs. Stanley owned a successful business, Glenda Stanley Realty, served as President of the Santa Rosa Board of Realtors, Director of the Girl Scouts of Santa Rosa County and was a Sunday School teacher at Ferris Hill Baptist Church. Later in life she witnessed for Christ through letters to her many pen pals around the world. Mrs. Stanley was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Our wife, mother, and Memaw will be missed. Jesus took his angel home.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Floyd Stanley, three children, Donna (Phil) Gambrell, Gregory (Kathy) Stanley, Delores (Gregory) Turman, and seven grandchildren, Christina (Scott) Simmons, Kelly Turman, Katie Turman, Tiffany Hanley, Britt Hanley, Paul Gambrell, Lisa Gambrell, and five great-grandchildren, Gretchen & Kyndall Simmons, Brandon & Justin Williams, and Pacer Gambrell.

Funeral services will be Thursday April 19, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of National Cremation & Burial Society. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 6 until 8 PM. Condolences may be made to the family at
