Morris "Morrie" Schneider, Jr., 62, passed away with his loving family at his bedside at home in Pensacola, FL. Mr. Schneider died from a prolonged illness on Monday, January 7, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Christina Vagias and son, Zack Morris Schneider, father, Morris Schneider, Sr., sisters Gloria Pearce (William), Victoria Wilmot (Fred), and Karen Thoennes, and brother Joseph Schneider (Rita) and special cousin, Deborah C. Clemmons and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Winifred Creighton Schneider, brother Creighton (Creig) Schneider, and wife Jo Usery Schneider. Morrie graduated from Pensacola High School, Class of 69. While at PHS he was on the varsity football team. He was employed in the sales and marketing of heavy equipment and worked as a warehouse manager for the Hillsborough County School system. He passionately officiated high school football and basketball events in the Tampa/St Pete area. Morrie was an Emeritus member of the Masonic Lodge Brandon #114. He was also a member of Hejaz Shriners, Mauldin, South Carolina and Brandon Elk Lodge. Hobbies include: photography, gardening, and fishing. He was known for his famous green beans and carrots recipe, quick wit, and uncanny sense of humor, and was a diehard, loyal Tampa Buccaneer fan. He was a proud parent of three Scotties, Kelly, Katie, and KC. Memorial Services will be held at the Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2pm with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. Memorial donations to the Brandon Masonic Lodge #114, PO Box 816, Brandon FL 33509, in lieu of flower is appreciated. Family-Funeral & Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
