"Danny Boy" Garner
Danny Douglas "Danny Boy" Garner, age 65, of Milton, FL, passed away January 19, 2013. He was born January 16, 1948 in Long Beach, CA to the late Huston Garner and Edna Thurman Garner.
Danny was a U.S. Navy Veteran and also had served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He had many different talents in life and served using those talents in several different capacities such as truck driving and the ministry. He loved people in general and enjoyed visiting with folks by going to the flea markets. He loved his family dearly and treated his nieces and great niece and nephews as if they were his children. His love of life was his beloved United States Navy and his dedicated service to his country.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Garner.
Survivors include two sisters, Sylvia (Donald Ray) Sweeney of Milton, FL and Kathryn Rogers of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Larry Garner and Carleton Le Grant, both of Jacksonville, FL; two nieces, Kathy (Michael) Rose of Milton, FL and Kim Mabire of Pace, FL; a great niece Ashlyn Mabire; and great nephews, Hunter Rose and Ashton Mabire.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2 PM at National Cremation & Burial Society. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the service hour.
National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
