Curtis M. McArthur


Curtis passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013. He was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran. He worked for over 35 years at the NAS in publication and printing. He was an avid bowler for over 50 years, loved baseball (Atlanta Braves), football (FSU Seminoles) and country music. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard D. McArthur and Rettie M. Johnson McArthur.

Curtis is survived by son, Michael "Mike" McArthur (Felicia) of Broomfield, CO; son, Mark McArthur (Terri) of Cantonment, FL; brother, John "JP" McArthur of Pensacola; brother, Carl (Catherine "Sue") McArthur of Pensacola, FL; brother, Jimmy McArthur of Pensacola, FL; sister, Sophia Lehrfeld (Phillip) of Riverton, UT; grandchildren, Melissa McArthur and Kristi McArthur of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Michael A. McArthur, Samara Ortega, Saraya McArthur, and Oliver Vasquez of Denver, CO.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Friday, March 15, 2013 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with his brother, Carl McArthur officiating and his nephew, Colonel Brent McArthur assisting at the cemetery. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Boutwell, Dean McArthur and Russell McArthur.
