James Reynolds Sr. Obituary
James "Jim" Richard Reynolds, Sr.

Jim was called home in the early hours of Monday, May 20, 2013 after succumbing to respiratory difficulties. He battled bravely, for many years, with multiple health issues, and is now at rest.

He was born October 7, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio and for thirty six years lived in the Myrtle Grove area of Pensacola. He loved his community and spent as much time as he could involved in a variety of interests. He spent many years umpiring baseball at local ball parks and announcing football and baseball games at Escambia High School. His children James, Joshua and Julie attended high school there. He continued to announce games, even after they graduated.

Jim was a Navy EW Chief with over twenty three years of service to his country. After retirement, Jim worked for TSM developing and implementing technical manuals for the Navy. After that, he became a long-haul truck driver. He spent his final ten years working in the local concrete industry, until health issues led to his permanent retirement.

Jim was a quiet, genuine and kind man that is loved dearly. He is already missed very much by his family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents, Clarence "Chic" and Carole Dawn Ware Reynolds.

Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosanna; 2 sons, James Jr. (Toni) and Joshua (Hue); daughter, Julie; four grandchildren; sister, Debbie Wallace ; and brothers, Ralph and Tom Reynolds.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 23, 2013 from 6 - 8 PM at the Trahan Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, May 24, 2013 at 9:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 12030 Lillian Hwy Pensacola.
