Donald Weston Lamb


Donald Weston Lamb passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. He was born on July 11, 1928 in Asheboro, North Carolina to Joshua and Mary Lamb. He served in the military, was a World War II Veteran and held the rank of Master Sergeant. He received many metals and awards for his service. After the military, he was employed as a deputy in his home town. He later moved to Pensacola where he worked as an excellent skilled carpenter. Anyone who knew him knew he was a man of his word. Don's highlight of the day was going to Krispy Kreme for over forty years for coffee. He enjoyed meeting and talking with the regulars.

He is survived by a daughter Donna and a devoted friend of many years, Linda Taylor. He is also survived by the Mondellos, his second Family.

Pallbearers are Gary Mondello, Johnny Mondello, Baldwin Bobe, Gerald Tompkins, Judson Tompkins and Cuyler Tompkins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors.
