Christine Kay Thompson, 67, of Pensacola, FL passed away October 4, 2013. She was born July 1, 1946 in Little Rock, AR and grew up in Panama City.

Chris worked for the Escambia County School Board for 34 years. She loved her job with Suter Elementary, The Beach School and the Elks Club on Pensacola Beach. She was a dedicated, kind, and giving person.

Chris was a loving Mother, Grandmother "Maw Maw" and sister. We will deeply miss her smile, kind heart and devotion to her family. Nicole and Eddie were the pride and joy of her life.

Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Earl Thompson, Sr. and her parents, Wade H. Admire, Jr. and Ruby Mae Admire. Chris is survived by her son, Edwin Earl Thompson Jr. of Orange Beach, AL, a granddaughter, Nicole Michelle Thompson of Pensacola, FL, a sister Pat Rath (Alfred) of Pass Christian, MS, an aunt Norma Admire of Hallendale, FL, nephews, Gary Rath of Gulfport, MS, Brad Rath of Long Beach, MS and a niece, Ashley Lytton of Covington, LA.

Chris has requested a private funeral with her immediate family. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her over the past few months.

In lieu of flowers, the family request a memorial donation be made to: A.K. Suter Elementary, 501 Pickens Ave, Pensacola, FL 32503.
