Arthur Dufault Obituary
Pensacola - Arthur F. "Duey" Dufault, 67, of Pensacola, formerly of Hampton, NH died unexpectedly on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Hampton Beach in the home where he grew up and where he summered with his wife for many years.
He was born February 6, 1947 in Schenectady, NY the son of the late Arthur and Anna (Nealon) Dufault.
His family moved to the NH seacoast when Duey was a teenager. He graduated from Winnacunnet High School with the Class of 1965 where he excelled in baseball and in basketball and was known for his long distance shots. Arthur also attended the University of Maryland, Bowie State University, Maryland and, Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was a chef by trade and in his earlier years was employed at the former Greenhouse Function Center and Restaurant in Hampton Falls, NH. In 1987 he and his wife Anne T. (MacDonald) DuFault moved to Pensacola where he took the position of food & beverage manager at the Pensacola Greyhound Track. He retired in 2010 after 23 years of service.
He loved all types of sports especially football and the New York Giants and was present at Super Bowl XLII when they beat the NE Patriots at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, AZ in 2008. He also enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and horse racing at Saratoga Springs, NY.
He leaves his wife, Anne T. (MacDonald) Dufault of Pensacola, formerly of Woburn, MA, his sister, Anna Korosec of Baltimore, MD and, his brother, Roger Dufault and wife Lisa of Frederick, MD along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visiting hours will be from 5-8 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Heaven is a much better place now. Many fond memories of the time I spent with a man that was a privilege to have as a friend. Art will be sorely missed and I look forward to the time when we will meet again. Prayers and condolences to Annie and family.
