Barbara Adamson Obituary

BARBARA GLASS ADAMSON

1947 - 2017

Barbara " Babs" Adamson, of Pensacola Fl, passed away May 9th, 2017.

Born in Montgomery, Alabama December 30th, 1947 to Robert and Eileen Glass. She graduated from Pensacola High School Class of 66'. She worked at Sacred Heart until retiring in 2001. Babs was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary Lodge 71. She loved life and all life she created. She made sure each of her children and grandchildren had everything they ever needed or wanted and always gave the best mommy hugs. She enjoyed the beach, shopping, music, dancing, traveling, impromptu parties and just being around family, all of us!

Babs is survived by her husband of 44 years, Patrick, whose lifelong prayer was to live longer than Babs so she would never be alone. Five children; Pat (Kandi) Adamson, Jerry (Mary Elizabeth) Adamson, Chris (Mandi) Adamson, Aimee (Tony) Smith and Jenny (Jason) Davis. Three brothers Jack Siler, Bob Glass and Brian Glass. A special cousin, Julia Crane Dubose, 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of nieces nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Eileen Glass and a daughter Angela.

The family will receive friends at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 9am till the service begins at 10am

Pat, Bobby, Jack and kids: I am so sorry as I just learned about Babs passing away. I am so sorry to learn about this and so sorry that I did not attend her funeral. Babs and I were friends all thru high school, went to dances at the beach, etc. I remember when Brian was born and how we spoiled that kid ! In later years we lost touch for the most part, however, I know how crazy she was about her family, kids, grandchildren, etc. Again, I am so sorry for your loss to the entire family.

Mrs. A you were just as much my mom as my own mom is. I will never forget your laugh and I hope I can always remember you saying "Oh Chasity, come over here and brush my hair will ya". You devoted yourself to your kids, grandkids, and all of us random kids yours brought home over the years. Everyone knew the Adamson doors were always open, as long as you had your own ride home, lol. You were loved by many and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew you that will never be forgotten. Your memory will stay with us forever. I love all of you guys and will continue to pray for your hearts to find peace.

Listening to "Babs" obituary gave me a beautiful picture of a very special lady - how easy it is now to understand the heart and character of (at least one of her children) her son Patrick - it is clear that Babs left a legacy in each of her children...
And to the family ; hold tight to memories for comfort , lean on others for strength, and always remember how much she loved you!
With our sincere sympathies we wish peace and comfort to the entire Adamson family
