Evelyn Lucile Johnson, 85, of West Union, formerly of Winchester, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Adams County Manor, just six weeks before she reached her 86th birthday. She was born September 30, 1928 in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Eva Marie (Warstler) Miller and husband, Paul W. Johnson.
She is survived by two daughters: Laura Thornton of West Union and Sara Dawson of Amelia; two sons: Thomas Johnson and Peter Johnson, both of West Union; one sister, Louise Holt of Troy; one brother, Robert Miller of Eaton; and five grandchildren.
She was a 1946 Graduate of Eaton High School and a 1949 Graduate of Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati. She retired from Adams County Home Health after working many years as a Registered Nurse. She was a former Hospice of Hope Volunteer, and had attended the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union.
The visitation is Friday, August 22, 2014 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. and funeral at 2 p.m. at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union.
The interment will be at Cherry Fork Cemetery.
