Harmon R. Dryden, 89, of West Union died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Dryden was born on October 9, 1925 the son of the late Darius and Margarette (Bradford) Dryden in Adams County, Ohio. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Gaffin) Dryden.
Mr. Dryden was a minister for over 53 years.
Survivors include three daughters Linda Copas and husband Charles, Judith McCann and husband Kenneth, Rhonda Willet and husband Kevin, all of West Union; one son, Richard Dryden and wife Tanja of West Union; one brother Harold Dryden of West Union; two sisters June Vogler of Cherry Fork, Marilyn Myers of San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union with John White and Major Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery with military services by the Adams County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
