Gloria Jean Fenton, 67, of West Union died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her home. She was born December 8, 1946 in Brush Creek Township. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Elvin and Ida Myrtle (Price) Hayslip; son, William "Bill" Fenton; and brother, Bob Hayslip.
She is survived by her husband, Denver Fenton of West Union; daughter, Melody (Ken) Laramie of South Rockwood, Mich.; son, Jeff (Cleo) Fenton of Blue Creek; three sisters, Ocie (Ron) Bunch of Williamsburg, Ky, Janet (Joe) Risch of Zanesville, and Carol (Ed) Knauff Salsbury of Seaman; four brothers, Lloyd (Emma) Hayslip and Ray (Patty) Hayslip both of West Union, J.B. (Shelda) Hayslip of Brush Creek Township, and Tom Hayslip of Seaman; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was co-owner and operator of the former Women's Fitness Express in West Union. She was a former cashier at Knauff's Grocery in Blue Creek, and a former childcare provider.
She was a member of the Northside Church in West Union, a 1964 graduate of Jefferson High School, and a member of various bowling teams at the Sunset Bowl at the Panhandle in Adams County.

The visitation was Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and funeral at 2 p.m. at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union. Pastor Richard Lloyd and Pastor Jason Hayslip will officiate.
The interment was at East Liberty Cemetery in Lynx.
