CANNELTON - Steven W. Hendrick-Thomasson, 17, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident while driving to school, the first day of his senior year at Perry Central Junior-Senior High School.
He was born in Leitchfield, Ky., March 22, 1996. His father, Billy Hendrick Jr., preceded him in death. His mother, Stacy Thomasson Knasel, survives him. Also preceding him in death was his grandfather, Billy Hendrick Sr.
Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his adoptive grandparents, Ronald B. and Mary K. (Smith) Thomasson of Cannelton; his mother, Stacy Thomasson Knasel of Tell City; his sisters, Alexus and Amity Knasel, both of Tell City; his grandmother, Phyllis Hendrick of Cloverport, Ky.; a great-grandmother, Marie Smith of Tobinsport; his aunts, Debbie Baker and Tammy Duncan, both of Lew-isport, Ky., Shawn Goffinet of Huffman Mill and Stacy Hendrick of Cloverport and uncles Maurice Poehlein of Tobinsport and Justin Hendrick of Cloverport.
A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Tuesday, Aug. 13, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City, with burial in Millstone Cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Duvelius officiated. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to American Red Cross or St. Paul Catholic Church.

Mary Kay, I saw you and young Steven
together recently and noted what a fine looking young man he was. I am so sorry his life came to an end at such a young age. I am sure you brought happiness to each other.
