Mary Mosby Obituary

EVANSTON - Mary Helen Mosby, 85, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.
She was born Dec. 19, 1927, to Henry and Ollie (Southwood) Philipps.
Mary Helen was married May 16, 1946, to Chester Mosby. She worked for General Electric and retired from the Lincoln Trail Motel, where she was a cook. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and its CCW.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, quilting and spending time with her husband, children and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be most remembered for her chicken and dumplings, her orange Kool-aid and especially her never-ending love for her husband and family.
Surviving are her husband, Chester Mosby of Evanston; her children, Terri Brockman and her husband, Thomas and Robert Mosby and his wife, Karen, all of Evanston; six grandchildren, Jarrod Brockman (Keri), Kristin Johnson (Dan), Cassie Heeke (Adam), Dana Lutgring (Ryan), Katie Strange (Adam) and Logan Mosby and her great-grandchildren, Ian, Hayden, Brady and Ella Brockman, Aidan and Sophie Johnson, Becca and Owen Heeke and Zane and Ava Lutgring.
Preceding her in death were her twin daughters, Sandra Ruth and Sharon Rae; her parents and brothers Bill, George, Carl, Bob, Earl, Edward, Hubert, Bernard, Claude and Albert Philipps.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, (today) at St. Pius Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The Rev. Sengole Thomas will officiate.
Visitation was set for 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 21, and from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. today at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius Catholic Church CCW.
