I'm so grateful for the time I got to spend with you and will never forget the way you would always make me feel safe and loved.

I remember how you would always have golf or football on the TV when we would visit. You were such a passionate fan, and I would always laugh at how worked up you would get. But I also loved seeing how much joy the games brought you. I also remember how you would always puff on your pipe while doing the daily crossword puzzle. The smoke would curl up in the air like a sweet, hazy cloud. It was the smell of home, of comfort, of Papa.

But most of all, I'll never forget your love for my Grandmother, Maureen. I know that she was very lucky to have you in her life.

You were a kind and loving man, and the best grandpa a kid could ask for.

Love,
Jessica
