TELL CITY – Agnes Simon, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 8, 1925, to the late John and Clara (Peters) Hagedorn.
Agnes had owned and operated Pastry House Bakery. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, fishing, flowers and quilting.
Surviving are her children, Jane (John) Bunner of Reo, Judy (Paul) Biever of Tell City, Paul (Nira) Simon of Troy, Ed Simon of Horn Lake, Miss. and Jim (Gina) Simon of Sedalia, Colo.; 11 grandchildren, Eric Bunner, Jack, Josh, Brandon, Embry, Annie, Michael, Greg and Andy Simon, Samantha Stephens and Carley Perryman and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Irvin Simon; sons, Dan "Frank" Simon and Charles Simon; sisters, Mildred Schaefer and Frieda Thole; brothers, Raymond, Casper, Leo, Clarence, Earl and Irvin Hagedorn.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, March 10 at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Bernie Etienne officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
