Betty Cronin, 74, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at her home.
She was born April 20, 1938, in Tell City, daughter of the late Raymond and Martha (Masterson) Reed. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Cora Reed and Margie Hanks; a brother, William B. Reed; a son-in-law, Joseph Lane and several grandchildren.
Betty was united in marriage Sept. 29, 1953, in Tell City to Carl E. Cronin. A homemaker, she was a member of Tell City First Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family.
Betty is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl; her daughters, Martha Birchler (Paul) of Freetown, Nancy Lane (Raymond) of Tell City, Opal Lane of Cannelton, Kay Flamion (Roger) of St. CroixÂ and Mary Shrewsberry (Bob) of Owensboro, Ky.; her sons, Curtis Cronin (Debbie) of Cannelton, Carl A. "Boo" Cronin of Cannelton, Ricky Cronin (Julie) of Tell City and John Cronin (Kathy) of Tell City and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Marlin Betts and John Smitson were to officiate.
Visitation was set for noon until service time Sunday.
