TELL CITY - Betty L. Noble, 84, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1928, to the late Ira and Hazel (Terry) Lindsey.
She was married Aug. 18, 1956, to Carl Noble, who precedes her in death. Also preceding her in death were a son, Herbert Noble and her sisters, Ocie "Katherine" Letterman and Margie Richards.
Betty retired from General Electric and was a babysitter for 17 years. Later, she worked at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills and Scenic Hills.Â She was a volunteer at the Perry County Memorial Hospital gift shop and was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 2939 and American Legion Post 213 Ladies auxiliaries, and the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are her children, Carl Noble and his wife, Amanda of Cannelton and Tina Arnett of Tell City; sisters Sylvia Mason of Chandler and Edith Scott of Evansville: her grandchildren, Jennifer Wilgus and Lindsey and Nathan Noble and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Deer Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elmer Shelby will officiate.
Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, (today) and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
