TELL CITY – Carl E. Cronin, 79, passed away March 28, 2014, at his home.
He was born in Tell City, April 8, 1934, son of the late Curtis and Luella (Baur) Cronin.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Helen "Betty" (Reed) Cronin, in 2013; four brothers, Paul, Vernon, Charlie and Richard Cronin; several grandchildren and a son-in-law, Joe Lane.
He was a self-employed tree trimmer and roofer. A member of Tell City First Church of Nazarene, Carl enjoyed fishing, taking drives, playing euchre and spending time with his family.
Carl is survived by his daughters, Martha Birchler (Paul) of Tell City, Opal Lane of Tell City, Nancy Lane (Raymond) of Tell City, Kay Flamion (Roger) of St. Croix, Mary Shrewsberry (Bob) of Owensboro, Ky., Candy Davis (Matt) of Tell City and Theresa Bradley (Robbie) of Holland; his sons, Curtis Cronin (Debbie) of Cannelton, John Cronin (Kathy) of Tell City, Ricky Cronin (Julie) of Tell City and Carl A. "Boo" Cronin of Tell City; his sister, Opal Mae Graham (Jim) of Tell City; a brother, Shirley Cronin of Tell City; a brother-in-law, Jesse Reed of Cannelton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
John Smitson and Pastor Marlin Betts will officiate.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.
