He was born Aug. 19, 1939, to the late Wilbur "Wib" and Billie (Coombes) McMahon. Also preceding him in death was his wife of 40 years, Virlee (Becher) McMahon and brothers, Bill and Don Page.
Gary was a man of many talents. He worked as a courier for the Iberia Bank. While living in Tell City, he was involved with the Perry County Arts Council madrigal dinners and Schweitzer Fest plays. Most of all, Gary enjoyed socializing and spending time with his many friends. His personality was contagious and people were attracted to him. He had the ability to make anyone laugh and forget his or her problems. His philosophy was to enjoy the moment day by day. He lived it 100 percent. He will be greatly missed by many.
