Jean Froelich(1927 - 2014)

TELL CITY – Jean Mangum Froehlich, 86, passed away at her home Saturday, March 1, 2014.
She was born July 19, 1927, to the late Louis and Dora (Schmidt) Ziegelgruber. Also preceding her in death is her first husband, William J. Mangum; second husband, William Froehlich; a sister, Mildred Lautner and brothers, Paul and Oscar Ziegelgruber.
A 1945 graduate of Tell City High School, Jean had worked at General Electric, was a sales manager for Tupperware and had owned Swiss Fashions for 14 years.
She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 213, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Kiwanis. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and playing bridge.
Surviving are her children, Bill (Debbie) Mangum II, of Tell City, Timothy (Karen) Mangum of St. Meinrad and Kris Jackson of Jeffersonville; a sister, Dot Kessner of Tell City; sister-in-law, Rose Ziegelgruber of Tell City; four grandchildren, Quentin and Lucas Mangum, Daniel Jackson and Benjamin Mangum; one great-grandchild, Jax Mangum and her poodle, Sammie.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. The Rev. J.T. Hills will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
