Lynn "Pete" Hall

Lynn Elder 'Pete' Hall, 94, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Heritage Center.
Lynn was born in Cannelton, Dec. 23, 1917, to the late William and Henrietta (Simmons) Hall. Lynn served in the United States Army in the 1st Cavalry Division. He was a 65-year member of International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers Local 16. Lynn was a past commander and a current member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2953. He was an accomplished poet and a longtime member of Albright United Methodist Church.
Lynn is survived by his daughter, Carol L. Hall of Evansville; a son, Gene A. (Helen) Hall of Haubstadt; his grandchildren, Katherine Williamson, Elizabeth Taylor, Kathleen Fisher and Elizabeth Fisher; a great-granddaughter, Madison Williamson and nieces and nephews.
Lynn was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mildred K. (Wulf) Hall in 2009; his parents; a sister, Alice Richey and his brothers, Clarence, Ernest, Irvin and Sidney Hall.
Funeral services were held at Browning Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Brown officiating. Burial took place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club conducted military rites.
