Mary Kathryn Carver, 85, Tell City, formerly of Galveston, passed away at 11:51 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.
She was born Dec. 30, 1926, in Walton to the late Wayne C. Bechdol and Mary Margaret (Wilson) Bechdol.
On April 28, 1946, she married Harry J. Carver at the First Baptist Church in Galveston. He preceded her in death.
She retired from Delco Electronics and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tell City, and the UAW Local 292 in Kokomo. 'No life is without regret, and none without consolation ... So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.'
Survivors include her sons, Raymond S. and his wife, Barbara Carver of Tell City and Harry W. and his wife, Lina Carver of Kokomo; brothers Richard Bechdol of South Dakota and Jack Bechdol of New Mexico and her sister, Jean Hardy of New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul T. 'Opi' Bechdol and Samuel Bechdol.
Services will be held at noon Thursday, Nov. 15, (today) at First Baptist Church, 207 South Sycamore St., in Galveston. The Rev. Lee Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until noon today at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
