DALE - Mary Louise Callahan Patrick, 98, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Transcendent Healthcare in Boonville.
She was born in Raquette Lake, N.Y. Jan. 4, 1915, to the late Thomas and Mildred (Cox) Callahan.
Mary attended the Raquette Lake Union School in 1931.Â She then enrolled in the College of New Rachelle from which she graduated in 1935 with a bachelor's degree in education.
She taught English for two years and then married Arthur Patrick April 22, 1939.
Mary was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars
Auxiliary Post and American Legion Auxiliary Post.Â She was an avid animal activist.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Arthur Patrick in 1998; two daughters, Gail Patrick and Mary L. Blythe and a son, Gary Patrick.
Surviving are her sons, Larry Patrick of Kansas City, Mo., and Paul Patrick of Dale; herÂ grandchildren, Tom Patrick, Libby Small, Gary Michael Patrick, Missy Madison and Bill Patrick; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; dear friends Bob and Cathy Flora of Dale and her beloved dog, Bunny.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 20, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Old Forge, N.Y.
