MAGNET - Patsy Gail James, 63, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at her home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1949, in Hancock County, Ky., daughter of the late James "Jack" and Ruby (Fuqua) Richards. Also preceding her in death were a granddaughter, Autumn James; a brother, Bob Richards and her sisters, Doris Yarbrough and Kay Seckel.
Patsy Gail was a 1967 graduate of Hancock County High School. She was united in marriage Dec. 28, 1968, to Gary James at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Patsy Gail had worked in Tell City and at 76 Truck Stop in Leavenworth as a waitress.Â Known to many as "Tater," she enjoyed fishing and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gary James of Magnet; a daughter, Angela Barnes of Magnet; her sons, Billy and Bobby James, both of Magnet; two sisters, Lou Sanders of Fordsville, Ky., and Beverly Smith of Clarksville, Tenn.; her brothers, Gene Richards, Jim Richards and Ronnie Richards, all of Fordsville; four grandchildren, Brandon and Bradley Barnes and Travis and Zachary James and a great-granddaughter, Heaven Barnes.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 29, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Augustine Cemetery. Pastor Oliver Sanders officiated.
