Ronald Schneider Obituary

ST. CROIX – Ronald L. "Duke" Schneider Sr., 73, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at Autumn Woods Health Care.
He was born in Fond du Lac, Wis., and was raised by his late grandparents, Guy and Marie Lemm. Also preceding him in death were Robert J. and Jessie Schneider and a brother, Donald Schneider.
Duke graduated from Oakfield Wisconsin High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958.
Duke was married to Nola Gail Keilm Schneider for 53 years and resided in Clarksville, later in St. Croix. He retired from Ford Motor Co. Fern Valley Road and Schneider Consulting Company as supervisor and owner.
Duke is survived by his loving wife, Gail; a son, Ronald (Theresa) Schneider; two brothers, Mike (Cathy) Schneider and Mark (Sonja) Schneider; four sisters, Suzanne Goldapske, Sandy Schneider, Bonnie Feibig, Vickie (Jeff) Woodruff; a niece, Sheila (Rob) Baugh; two grandchildren, Kristi (Donald) Perry, Brandon Schneider; two great-grandchildren, Leighla Perry, and Donald Perry IV, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a former member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the F&AM Branchville Masonic Lodge 496, where he served as a past master and secretary for more than 40 years. His other interests were the Perry Central Band, Cub Scouts in previous years, traveling with his family and anything automotive-related.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. EST Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Perry Central Band Boosters or the Branchville Masonic Lodge 496 Building Fund.
