Helen Linette Obituary

BIRDSEYE – Helen Linette, 83, of Birdseye, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. Helen was born, Dec. 24, 1931, to Edwin and Sophia (Bretz) Miller in Perry County. She married Edwin Joseph (Babe) Linette on, May 30, 1951, in Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia. Edwin preceded her in death on, June 13, 1990.
Helen was a member of Saint Martin of Tours Parish. Helen enjoyed flowers, birds, reading and being with her grandchildren. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Helen is survived by one son, Wayne Linette and wife Donna of Birdseye; one daughter, Brenda Ransome and husband Robert of Bristow; four grandchildren, Amy Cline, Lindsey Ransome, Megan Harris and Wes Linette; one great-grandchild, Aliese Harris. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Edwin; one brother, Sam Miller; two sisters, Rose Alice Darby and Mildred Denu.
Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 23, at Saint Martin of Tours Church in Siberia with burial in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions can be made to Saint Martin of Tours Church Cemetery Fund. Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand is in charge of all arrangements.
