Mary Cox Obituary

BRISTOW – Mary "Helen" Cox, 77, of Bristow passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, in Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. She was born Aug. 20, 1938 in Perry County to William & Hilda (Eades) Huff. She married Theodore "Ted" Cox on July 9, 1958 in Mount Carmel, Ill. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2008.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Scott of Bristow, two granddaughters, Shannon Hedinger and Mandy Scott, both of Bristow, four great-grandchildren, a brother, William Earl Huff and wife JoAnn of New Albany, a sister, Marie Bolin of Tell City. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Ray Cox, brothers, Raymond & James Huff and sister, Irene Hockenberry.
Mary was a former employee at Farbest and Grief Brothers. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, she was an avid reader and she enjoyed squirrel hunting.
Funeral services were Wednesday in Saint Meinrad Catholic Church, St. Meinrad. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
