Danny Leistner Obituary

LINCOLN CITY – Danny C. Leistner, 62, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born in Tell City Aug. 13, 1952, to the late Arthur and Mildred (Brock) Leistner.
Danny was a 1970 graduate of Tell City High School. He retired from Automated Routing. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1424, Sons of American Legion and United Steelworkers. Danny enjoyed spending time with family, stock car races, horse racing, being outdoors and mowing his grass, and Indiana University basketball.
Surviving is his wife, Brenda (Lamkin) Leistner of Lincoln City; son, Jeremy Leistner of Tell City; daughters, Shawna Mullen (Mark) of Austin and Sarah Jean Leistner of Newburgh; his brothers, Thomas Leistner and Carman Leistner (Ann), both of Tell City; nine grandchildren, Travis Brinksneader, Misty Rose and Lindsey Leistner, Tyler Kellems and Avariy, Adalyne, Allison and Ayla Mullen.
Preceding him in death is his son, Timothy Kellems.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Isidore Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. CDT with a Moose service at 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
