INDIANAPOLIS – Earl Hay, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away June 27, 2014. He was born April 11, 1936, in Cannelton, the eighth child of 12 born to Thomas and Lula (Gaesser) Hay.
Earl loved to play euchre, volleyball and horseshoes, especially with his family in southern Indiana. He cherished the memories he had of growing up on the Ohio River. Earl retired from General Motors after 30 years.
Earl was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his children, Michael (Sue Ann), Joseph, and Marty Hay; his longtime companion, Bobbi Polster; brothers Jimmy, Norman, Dennis and Paul Hay; sisters Sue Horn and Judy (Norm) Herzog and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Earl's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at The Patio Steakhouse in Tell City. All are welcome.
