TELL CITY – Harold W. Foerster, 76, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.
He was born Oct. 29, 1936, in Spencer County.
He was united in marriage to Nelda McKim, Nov. 3, 1956, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She passed away Jan. 2, 2012. Also preceding him in death were his parents, Oscar and Esther (Klahn) Foerster; a sister, Mabel Anson and a brother in infancy, Edward Foerster.
Harold was a graduate of Troy High School. He worked for Tell City Chair Co. and retired from Jasper Seating. Harold owned and operated Harold Foerster Cabinet Shop. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his three daughters, Cindy Taylor (Warren), Cathy Greubel (Gary) and Carol Pannett (Jeff), all of Tell City; a sister, Mildred Bryant of Chandler; six grandchildren, Allegra Taylor, Chelsea Schaaf McCallister, Hunter Greubel, Sam Litherland, Krystal Litherland Braun and Felicia Litherland Robbins; two stepgrandchildren, Ryan and Brandon Taylor; four great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Daniel Gadbaw will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 and from 9 until 11 a.m. Saturday.
