ANGOLA – Angelia Jean Harpenau, 46, of Angola died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018.
She was born on Nov. 12, 1971, to Ronald and Sandra Jean (Shumaker) McCormick. Her mother has passed away, her father survives in Angola.
She was a 1990 graduate of Angola High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Education in 1994 from Purdue University.
She was a teacher for 23 years.
Angelia loved teaching and enjoyed Disney, gardening and spending time with her family.
She married Darrin L. Harpenau, son of Roy and Carolyn Harpenau (Rennie), on Aug. 7, 1993, in Angola, who all survive.
A son Alexander Lee Harpenau and a daughter Samantha Caroline Harpenau both of Angola, and a brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Patty McCormick of Angola, also survive her.
Services are being held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Feller and Clark Funeral in Waterloo with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden Lake. The family prefers memorials be sent to Ronald McDonald House or Harpenau Children College Fund. To send condolences, visit www.fellerandclark.com.
