FORT WAYNE – Arnold Edward "Ed" Jarboe, 90, of Crossville, Tenn., passed away Aug. 8, 2018, at Wyndridge Health and Rehab Center. Born in Tell City, he retired from City Engineering Department in Fort Wayne. Mr. Jarboe played on the Tell City Golf League, where he became very good. He enjoyed golf into retirement. He also enjoyed fishing and camping. He spent a large amount of time in his life playing on and enjoying the Ohio River in Tell City where he grew up. He loved sharing stories about the river with his kids. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Josephine Jarboe and his wife of 61 years Daulee R. Jarboe. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn S. Armstrong and his two sisters Laura Ann Richter, Mary Lee Brown and his brother Harold L. Jarboe. Mr. Jarboe is survived by his children Carole June Cullen, Edward Lee Jarboe (Karen), Kristine Green (Rod), John Mathew Jarboe and Jack Arnold Jarboe; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were in Fort Wayne at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to Fort Wayne Children's Zoo.
