GUSTON, Ky. - Charlene M. Yates, 62, of Guston passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, at her residence.

Charlene worked at Akebono in Elizabethtown, Ky., for 16 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Flannagan, her mother-in-law, Evelyn Watson Shaw and a great-nephew Dustin Faulkenberg.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis "Rowdy" Yates of Guston; two daughters, Charlotte Seals of Guston and Diana Yates of Ekron, Ky.; six grandchildren, Jeremy (Haley) Ross, Kayla Ross Cribbs, Justin Seals, Tiffany Seals, Savannah Yates and Braiden Bussabarger; a great-granddaughter, Madison Cribbs; her mother, Mary Flannagan; a brother, Larry Flannagan; six sisters, Norma (Al) Kovelesky, Alberta Philpot, Gayle (Wayne) Faulkenburg, Donna (Dow) Johnson, Mary Jo (Mark) Beckman and Carol (Denny) Zellers; three brothers-in-law, Richard (Marie) Stewart, Bob (Nancy) Stewart, Danny (Phyllis) Yates; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Terry) Howerton and several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Wednesday, June 12, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Bryan officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg, Ky., was in charge of arrangements.
