TELL CITY – Erma Jean Stein, 92, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Tell City.

She was born in Spencer County Sept. 10, 1921, to the late Edward and Grace (Jeffers) Sisley.
Jean was married Feb. 14, 1942, for 70 blessed years, to Orrey Louis Stein, who preceded her in death in May 2012.
Also preceding her in death were her brothers Chester and Ed Sisley.
Jean and Orrey made their home on a farm between Evanston and New Boston until moving to Tell City in 1990.
Jean was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed artwork and painting, working mostly with oils and watercolors. She also enjoyed being with her family and friends and playing cards. She always had a kind spirit and was known for her innocent giggles. She was truly a saint, lighting up her family's everyday lives.
Surviving are her children, LaDonna Klass of Rockport and Gary (Janna) Stein of Santa Rosa, Calif.; grandchildren, Jeremy Klass of Albuquerque, N.M., Jeffry Stein of Santa Rosa, Haley Stein of Denver, Colo. and Nicholas Stein of Santa Rosa and one great-grandson, Dean Klass of Albuquerque.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Evanston. The Rev. Michael Mueller will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
